Before your team starts writing, set up how the project's specifications are organised. You do this once, in one place, so a large specification set stays consistent.
Note: You need access to Spec → Configuration. If your role doesn't have access, Configuration isn't visible.
Choose the specification standard
- Go to Spec → Configuration → Standards.
- Select None or Molio.
- Click Save and Close.
With Molio selected, you can add documents from Molio and import and export .moliospec files. You can always create your own documents, whatever the standard.
Note: Changing the standard shows a confirmation first, because it can affect standard-specific configuration. To change from Molio to None, you must first remove the Molio documents from the project.
Add disciplines, contracts and document types
- Go to Spec → Configuration and select Disciplines, Contracts or Document Types.
- Click Add and enter a name. Each name must be unique.
- Click Add.
The new value can now be selected for documents in Manage Specifications.
Rename or delete a value
- Rename: Choose Edit in the context menu. For contracts, you can also double-click the row. The new name is shown everywhere the value is already used.
- Delete: Choose Delete in the context menu and confirm. A value that is in use by a document can't be deleted, and the Delete option is greyed out.
💡 Configuration → Contracts shows how many documents each contract is assigned to.
