You can manually add objects by clicking the + icon on the top of the page. You can either add one object at a time or in bulk, by uploading a CSV file.
Manual Input (add a single object)
- Click the + icon at the top of the object table.
- Select Manual Input in the dialog.
- Select whether you want to create a Type or an Instance object.
- You can enrich your object with a property value.
- For now, you can only use Input and External Data properties.
- Save the user object.
- Once added to the object table, you can further enrich it with all necessary property values.
CSV Input (add multiple objects from a CSV file)
- Click the + icon at the top of the object table.
- Select CSV Input in the dialog.
- Select whether you want to create Type or Instance objects.
- Select a CSV file from you PC. The file must meet the following requirement:
- Colums with unique headers.
- NTI COMANAGE now checks for consistency between the CSV column headers and the names of the Input property in your project.
- You are informed of how many objects will be created.
- You are informed of how many matching columns were found. The check for consistency is case-sensitive.
⚠️ Once the objects are created, uploading a new (updated) version of the CSV file will not overwrite the existing data. Instead, it will create a new set of user objects.
Replace data from a user object to a source object
- Hold down Ctrl and click to select both the user object and the source object.
- The two object lines are now highlighted.
- Click the three-dot icon in the source object and select Replace Data.
- All values from the user object will now be placed on your source object.
Note: If there are existing values for the same properties, they will be overwritten. However, a blank property value in the user object will not overwrite an existing value in the source object
