You can add different types of properties to your project, based on their intended purpose.
Input Property
An Input Property is a basic (empty) property that allows you to enrich your objects with manually entered values in the object table. You can create the Input Property for various types of values, such as 'text' to allow any kind of input, 'integer' to allow only numbers, a 'yes/no' checkbox, and more.
Model Data Property
In a Model Data Property, you can select one or more Revit parameters from a dropdown menu. If the dropdown menu is empty, you need to go to Models to synchronize a file.
When the property/column is added to your Manage object table, the corresponding values will appear on the relevant objects.
External Data Property
An External Data Property is based on a CSV file uploaded to the External Data card. Once the file is uploaded, you can create an External Data Property based on any column in the file. You can add as many properties as needed corresponding to the relevant columns in the CSV file.
When you add the properties/columns to your object table, they are correlated, making it easy to fill out all values across CSV columns simultaneously.
Function Property
Use Function Properties to count all instances of a specific type, sum dimension values of specific types or genrate running numbers to indexing your objects.
Note: Function Properties can only be added to Types, so you must select 'Type' as Object Type when adding the property.
Once the property/column is added to the object table, the calculated value will appear in the table for the relevant objects.
Reference Property
Use the Reference Property to combine two or more properties, including Input, Model Data, external Data and Function Properties. This can be helpful for data handling and classification.
You can supplement with free text as needed.
When the property/column is added to your object table, the corresponding values will appear on the relevant objects. The reference values are read-only and cannot be edited.
Internal (System-Generated) Properties
NTI COMANAGE comes with four default properties for all projects that cannot be edited or deleted. You can choose whether to display them in the object table when configuring your view.
- Object Id (Each object is automatically assigned a unique number in the database)
- Object Type (All objects are categorized as either a Type or an Instance)
- Category (All source objects are associated with a Revit/IFC category)
- Source (The name of the synchronized file that the object derives from)
- Sync Status (A state indicating how objects have changed between synchronizations).
How to edit or delete a property
In the property table click the three-dot icon located at the end of the row to open the context menu.
Where: HOME / <project name> / OBJECTS / Configuration
