If the Spec module is enabled in your project, five system-generated properties are automatically available for use in the object table. These properties provide information about the Spec documents in which your objects are used:
- Document Title: The titles of the documents in which the object is used.
- Document Id: The IDs of the documents in which the object is used.
- Root Document Title: The titles of the root documents.
- Root Document Id: The IDs of the root documents.
- Document Contract: The contracts associated with the documents in which the object is used.
💡 You can rename the Spec-properties in Objects > Configuration.
Display Spec properties in the object table
- Go to Objects > Manage.
- Open the view configuration.
- Select the Spec properties you want to display in the object table.
- Save your view.
The selected properties will appear as columns in the object table, displaying relevant document information for objects that are referenced in Spec documents.
Objects used in multiple documents
An object can be used in multiple Spec documents. When this is the case, the property values are displayed on separate lines within the same cell in the object table.
This allows you to see all the Spec documents associated with an object without having to open each document individually.
Note: Spec properties are read-only. Their values cannot be edited in the object table
Where: HOME / <project name> / OBJECTS / Manage
