After having added a Revit file or an IFC file to your COMANAGE project, you can choose which categories you want to include in the synchronization.

Note: For Revit files you can skip this step! COMANAGE will automatically use a default set of the most common Revit categories.

How to select categories for the synchronization 

• Go to Models.
• Click the three-dot icon next to the specific file. 
• Select Import Settings.
• A dialog will open.
• Select the desired combination of categories 
  • For Revit files you can select a predefined Import Preset from the drop down field in the uppper right corner.
• Click Save and Close to apply the changes.
• Now you can synchronize your file with the selected categories by clicking the three-dot icon and select Synchronize.

⚠️ Selecting all categories will slow down the synchronization process.

Note: If you have synchronized a file, then remove a category from Import Settings and re-synchronize, no existing objects will be deleted from COMANAGE. To remove them, you must delete the file from Models and synchronize it again or manually delete the specific objects from the Manage object table.
