After adding a Revit file or an IFC file to your COMANAGE project, you can choose which categories to include in the synchronization. You can also choose to synchronize only modeled instances.
Note: For Revit files you can skip this step! COMANAGE will automatically use a default set of the most common Revit categories.
How to select categories for the synchronization
- Go to Models.
- Click the three-dot icon next to the specific file.
- Select Import Settings.
- A dialog will open.
- Select the desired combination of categories
- Check Import instanced elements only if you only want to import instances from your model
- Click Save and Close to apply the changes.
- Now you can synchronize your file with the selected categories by clicking the three-dot icon and select Synchronize.
⚠️ Selecting all categories will slow down the synchronization process.
Note: If you have synchronized a file, then remove a category from Import Settings and re-synchronize, no existing objects will be deleted from COMANAGE. To remove them, you must delete the file from Models and synchronize it again or manually delete the specific objects from the Manage object table.
