We’re back with another update to make your COMANAGE experience even smoother! Here’s what’s fresh, fixed, and fine-tuned:
✨ New Functions
• Improved VALIDATE results
VALIDATE results now give you a clearer overview of what passed and what failed. The result view includes more insight into the checked model data, making it easier to understand what needs to be corrected.
• Color validation results directly in the model viewer
When reviewing validation results, the model viewer can now color objects based on the result: passed elements are shown in green, failed elements in red, and elements outside the check are shown as transparent.
• Automatic model checks
Model checks can now be set to run automatically. When Auto-Run is enabled, COMANAGE runs the model check when one of the included models has been updated or synchronized.
• Revit validation rules now support type information on instances
When creating Revit validation rules for instances, you can now include type properties in the check. This makes it possible to validate instance objects using information from their related type.
• Expanded Calculation properties
Calculation properties now support more value types, functions, operators, constants, and validation options. You can also preview expressions and use functions such as If, Round, Min, Max, Concat, ToUpper, ToLower, and more.
• IF statements in calculations
You can now use IF statements in Calculation properties, making it possible to create logic similar to Excel formulas. Calculations also update when referenced property values change.
🛠Fixes
• Improved model check result performance
Performance has been improved when loading model check results, making it faster to review validation outcomes.
🧰 Adjustments
• Smarter property selection in Revit validation rules
When setting up a Revit validation rule, the available properties now match the selected object type. Type checks show type properties, while instance checks can use both instance and type properties.
• Better guidance when adding models from Forma
The model selection dialog now gives a clearer overview of which Revit models can be added from Forma. Unsupported models are shown with guidance explaining why they cannot be synchronized.
• Support for non-published Revit files
COMANAGE can now show when a Revit file is not a published model. You can still add the file and continue working in COMANAGE, but export functionality is disabled because the Revit add-in cannot write changes back to non-published files.
• Create object views with columns from the start
When creating a new view in the Objects table, you can now select which columns should be included directly in the creation dialog. New views also hide deleted objects by default.
• External Data properties now support value types
When creating properties from External Data, you can now choose the value type. COMANAGE uses the selected type when assigning values to objects and warns you if a value from the uploaded file does not match the selected type.
• Improved Reference properties
Reference properties now inherit the value type when they are based on a single referenced property. This makes reference values more consistent and easier to use in the object table and property updates.
• Performance and stability improvements
We have made several technical improvements across COMANAGE to improve stability, maintainability, and overall performance.
