This release introduces the Beta version of NTI COMANAGE Spec – your project specifications now live in the same place as your model data. Here's what's new:
✨ New Functions
• Introducing NTI COMANAGE Spec (Beta)
Write, structure and manage all your project specifications in NTI COMANAGE. Add the Spec module to a project, and the whole team works on the same documents in one shared place – connected to the model data you already manage.
SPEC is released as a Beta. The core workflow is ready to use, and we will keep expanding it in the coming releases. Read more
• Supports Molio's Beskrivelsesværktøjet 2.0
SPEC supports the Danish Molio standard. When you select Molio as the specification standard for your project, you get these Molio-specific functions:
- [Molio] Add specification documents from Molio.
- [Molio] Import existing .moliospec files, including sections and control plans.
- [Molio] Edit the specific control plans on your building part specifications.
- [Molio] Export your specifications to a .moliospec file when you need to deliver.
You can always create your own documents as well – with or without a standard.
• One overview of all your specifications
Manage Specifications shows every document in a tree, so you can see how documents relate to each other. Choose and arrange columns, sort and filter, and edit document information directly in the list – one document or many at once. Drag and drop documents to reorganise the structure. Your layout is saved for each project.
• An editor made for specification work
Sections and subsections are numbered automatically, and each has its own status: Draft, In Review or Approved. Search for sections, jump to the next or previous section, keep internal notes and discuss the text with colleagues in comments. Your changes are saved as you type.
• Full traceability for every section
Every section has a history timeline showing who changed what, and when. Added text is highlighted in green and deleted text in red, so you can review changes at a glance.
• Reuse project information with variables
Insert project variables such as the project name or project number into your text. When the project information changes, every specification follows. You can also link objects from your models to a document, so text and model data stay connected.
• See which documents your objects are used in
When Spec is enabled, five read-only properties in the object table show the documents, root documents and contracts each object is used in.
• Set up your specification project your way
In Spec → Configuration you define the project's disciplines, contracts and document types, and choose the specification standard. Contracts are inherited by child documents. [Molio] Contracts are also carried over when you import or export .moliospec files.
• Control who can edit each property
You can now choose which user roles are allowed to edit each property. In the object table, icons show which properties are read-only and which ones your role can't edit.
🧰 Adjustments
• Simpler user roles
The View/Edit permission on roles has been removed. All roles can now edit by default, and you control what each role can do through module access and property edit permissions.
• Clearer roles overview
The roles table now shows each role's description, how many modules it has access to, how many users it is assigned to, and when it was created and last changed.
• See edit rights in the properties table
The Editable column now shows a lock for read-only properties. For editable properties, it shows how many roles can edit them, and which ones.
